Apprenticeship at KOHLHAGE
Better the second time
Esra Tacan soon to complete training as an industrial clerk
“Actually, I would now be working as a registered nurse on shift duty in some hospital,” says Esra Tacan. “But the pressure and the night shifts were just too much for me.”
And so the young woman from Halver decided: I’m starting another apprenticeship. At KOHLHAGE. This raises the question: How does a woman from Halver get the idea to start an apprenticeship in Neuenrade?
“It has to do with my father,” she says. “He works here and told me that I should take a look at the company. I did that and quickly realised that I liked the family environment right away. Of course, I also have to perform here. But my job in technical purchasing is really demanding. I am now responsible for purchasing products that are not stored – from tools to work clothes. I like my job. Especially negotiating prices with suppliers is always exciting for me. Because at the beginning I never know what result I will get in the end,” Ms Tacan laughs. “For a job like this, I gladly put up with the 50-minute drive in the morning and evening.”
